Dr. Priyanka Raikar has obtained a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA, which ranks 1st in the world in the field of Occupational Therapy. She graduated with an excellent academic record and a merit scholarship. Her areas of Super Specialization are Pediatrics and Neurology. Dr. Priyanka has attained International Certification for Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT) and Handwriting Without Tears (HWT) from USA.

She is the first Indian to attain HWT Certification. During her Masters Program, she did her Internship at the World Renowned Rancho Los Amigos Hospital, Pediatric Therapy Network and Therapy West Clinic in Los Angeles, USA.

After graduation, she practiced as a Senior Occupational Therapist at Every Child Achieves, Inc. & Wellness Works at Hollywood, USA. She was also a clinical supervisor for Master’s and Bachelor’s Level students from Univ, of Southern California & Univ, of California State Dominguez Hills. Dr. Priyanka was also invited to present various seminars & workshops in USA on topics related to Infant Development, Behavioural Management, Autism, ADHD, Hyperactivity, Sensory Integration, Asperger’s Syndrome, Handwriting, Sensory Integration, Neurodevelopmental Techqs etc. She is a member of American Occupational therapy Association (AOTA), California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT), All India Occupational Therapy Association (AIOTA) and Association of Neonatal Therapist (ANT). She is also Internationally trained in Neurodevelopmental Techniques (NDT) and Brain Gym (UK & Ireland). She is a registered and licensed practitioner in India as well as USA.

Before joining the Master’s program in USA, she had her own practice at Care and Cure Polyclinic Mumbai, India. She was also attached to Larsen & Toubro Health Care Centre, Multiple Sclerosis Society of India (MSSI) and Priyanj Special School. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Seth G.S. Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai, India which ranks 1st in Asia in the field of Occupational Therapy. In KEM Hospital she worked in Pediatrics, Neurology, Orthopaedics, Haemophilia, Surgery, Cardiovascular, Thoracic, Medicine, Psychiatry, De-addition, Plastic Surgery and Hand Rehabilitation Departments.

After returning to India, She started her private practice in 2012 at Margao, Goa. She was also Senior Consultant at Apollo Victor Hospital and Mothercare Hospital in Goa from 2012 to 2018. She is a Resource person for Handwriting for Goa B.Ed Colleges like Nirmala Institute, Panjim and GVM, Ponda. She has been the Vertical Chair for Gift An Organ, Yi Cll for 2 consecutive years for the Social Cause of Nation Building to bring Awareness about Organ
Donation.
